Join GWFO as we hear from researchers behind the data
GWFO Expert Briefs is a monthly webinar series showcasing the breadth of research, observations, and facilities that make up the Global Water Futures Observatories (GWFO) network. Each webinar will feature a different facility lead from the consortium of twelve Canadian universities to offer a behind-the-scenes look at the science, monitoring programs, and freshwater challenges being explored in lakes, rivers, wetlands, glaciers, and drainage basins across Canada.
Why these conversations matter
GWFO's facilities generate open-access freshwater data that advances modeling, environmental monitoring, water management, and leading-edge research on hydrology, climate change, water quality, and freshwater ecosystems. These regular Expert Briefs (~30 mins + room for questions) will create space for knowledge sharing, connect audiences directly with the researchers behind the data, and demonstrate how water science informs practice, policy, and research strategies to safeguard Canada's freshwater future.
